Miley Cyrus’s father is the well-known country music singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus. Rising to massive international fame in 1992 with his breakout hit “Achy Breaky Heart”, which became a global phenomenon and topped the country charts for weeks, Billy Ray carved out a lasting legacy in the American music industry.
Beyond his solo music career, he is perhaps equally recognized for sharing the screen with his daughter. From 2006 to 2011, father and star daughter played on-screen father and daughter Robby Ray Stewart and Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. The show served as a massive launchpad for Miley’s transition into a global pop superstar, while allowing Billy Ray to introduce his country style to a whole new generation of young fans.
