Who is @faz3? Sheikh Hamdan’s Life, Title & Dubai Legacy

The Digital Persona of Royalty: Unpacking @faz3

In the digital era, social media has transformed how public figures—even world leaders and royalty—connect with the global populace. Among the most fascinating digital identities is @faz3, the ubiquitous handle of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates.

Boasting a massive multi-million-strong following across platforms like Instagram, @faz3 is far more than a standard royal PR account. It is a masterclass in modern digital diplomacy, personal branding, and high-octane visual storytelling.

The Origin and Meaning of “Fazza”

The handle @faz3 (pronounced Fazza) stems from his pen name, Fazza (فزاع), which he uses to publish his traditional Nabati poetry. In Emirati culture, the name carries a deep, heroic resonance. Derived from a word meaning one who rushes to the aid of others, a Fazza is a helper, a rescuer, and a champion of the distressed.

By adopting this moniker for his digital identity, Sheikh Hamdan rooted his online presence in values of chivalry, community support, and cultural heritage, bridging ancient Bedouin poetic traditions with the hyper-modern architecture of the internet.
